Girl Prank #2- Ask for Jake or Chester

This is what we thought the truck was, a Chevy....

Later we found out it was a Toyota...Look the same to me and equally hilarious.

It was once again the GIRLS turn to prank. We thought of many, many pranks but nothing seemed worthy to top the boys blackout. What were we going to do? Posting something on Craigslist seemed like our best bet. We brainstormed some ideas- a date ad, breast pumps, etc. but nothing seemed right. Then it finally came to us: JAKE'S TRUCK! Huzzah! Our best idea by far. So, Monday night we took to Craigslist to post an ad selling Jake's truck. Now, neither me nor Chelsea had ever used Craigslist before. I just went to the site and started to write an ad using Jake's e-mail address. What I didn't now was that an e-mail is sent to the address provided and used to activate your account and post your ad. Unfortunately I couldn't hack into Jake's e-mail so we almost gave up. But I knew the idea was too good just to abandon like that. So I went back and posted the same ad using my e-mail, but I hid it. That way I wouldn't get all the e-mails. The ad was as follows:

Great Offer! 2002 Chevy Truck $1200.oo
2002 Gray Chevy Truck. Great condition. 78,000 miles. $1200.00 OBO.
E-mail jake.cheesman@gmail.com or Call (801) 623-7486
Ask for Jake or Chester.

We posted the ad at about 9:30 pm. We didn't think it would get any hits until the next day because it was pretty late at night, but we were wrong. About 40 minutes later we got a call from Jake. Ignore. Then came the text. "Take it off now and it's a Toyota not a Chevy." OH NO! It's a Toyota! We had to do something about that. So I went and edited the ad. I changed it to a Toyota and for the heck of it, lowered the mileage to make it an even better deal. Needless to say, Jake got a lot of calls. It was one of the finer revenge pranks. Girls:2 Boys:1

Boy Prank #1- Blackout by the Boys

The boys wasted no time for their revenge prank. However, we did give them a little information that helped in their pranking process. Chelsea's parents were going out of town, so we decided to hibernate and house-sit for them. We told our friends that we were doing nothing that weekend but sleeping, watching tv and eating at Chelsea's parents house. I can only imagine what kind of ideas went through the boys minds after they got their hands on that information. One day into the "road trip" (as we called it) nothing had happened. We never really thought they would do anything so soon, after all it had only been a week. So Friday night we invited some of our girls over, namely Talese, Marie and Staci. Ironically the exact same girls that were involved with Tuna Surprise. We were enjoying ourselves sitting around the kitchen talking and eating cucumber sandwiches when all of the sudden....BLACKNESS. It's 9 o'clock at night and we have no electricity. The reaction was normal for any group of girls- SCREAMING, hysterically. Huge house+no electricity= murderer somewhere within 20 ft. As we continued screaming and being frightened, Staci tried to come to a conclusion. "It's probably a prank guys!" she said. NO WAY, Staci. The idea was immediately dismissed. After about 5 minutes of screaming and yelling "WHERE ARE YOU??!!" we decided to grab flashlights. Luckily for us, Chelsea had HEADLAMPS and flashlights...but of course we chose the headlamps. After grabbing the right gear we tried to figure out what to do next. I decided we should look outside to see which other neighbors were blacked-out. As we went to the door and peered out we saw that no other house was dark. WHAT?! More hysteria ensued. It was now confirmed- murderer. After more screaming Chelsea found her phone with her trusty headlamp and screamed again. Her phone had a text that said, "Enjoying the dark?" from none other than Jake. Nice one boys. We didn't think they would be able to pull that kind of thing of, but we underestimated them. We were truly scared. As the prank settled in, just to mess with them a little...and because we really didn't know how to turn the power back on... we told them we called the police and they were coming over to check it out. As we looked out the window from the second floor we saw Jake's truck, then the power came back on, and the truck was gone. Fortunately we were able to get a sliver of satisfaction from the prank by the boys thinking we called the police. Jake even believed for a little that we wrote his name down in the police report. Classic. All in all, it was a very good revenge prank and we were genuinely scared out of our minds. Maybe not Staci though, after all, she was right all along. Girls:1 Boys:1

Pretty much how we felt after the hysteria...

Yes. We wore headlamps.

Girl Prank #1- Tuna Surprise

We wanted to start the war out small. Invite the boys into the line of fire with something simple, you know? So we decided on Tuna SURPRISE! The idea came from a behind the scenes Arrested Development Season 1 dvd extra. Jason Bateman put a little thing of tuna in Will Arnetts trailer and revealed it on camera. It was pretty dang funny and pretty dang simple. So set Tuna Surprise in motion. Jake and his truck became the target. The hardest part was to get his keys without raising any questions, but thanks to Chelsea, that was easy. Basically what happened is Cho pretended that she left her phone in Jake's car and asked for his keys to go look for it. Instead of looking for her phone she put a bowl of fresh canned tuna under the seat. We all know how horrible tuna smells....I thought we might have ruined the prank when Cho came back into the house REEKING of tuna, but thanks to the boys being oblivious, the smell went unnoticed. We stayed a bit longer while the scent of tuna got settled in the truck and then bolted, literally, before Jake got into his car. A few minutes later, while driving home, we got the call about the smell from a confused Jake. Tuna Surprise was a success. Our response? WELCOME TO PRANK WAR 2010! A small, yet effective, kick off prank. Girls:1 Boys:0

The Beginning

The other day my brother showed me some awesome videos. Three great prank war videos from CollegeHumor.com. After laughing for some time, I began to think how fun it would be to have a prank war with friends. So I showed them the videos, and they too fell in love. Thus, the prank war of 2010 began. This blog is the "journal" of the prank war. I will keep track of each prank and write down some of the funny moments and great memories that come each prank. Be prepared because it WILL be wonderful. Let the PRANKING begin!
